Create a project in Rancher​

Log in to Rancher with a system administrator account

  • Access the cluster from the home page
  • Click on Projects/Namespaces
  • Click on Create Project
  • Provide a project name and a description
  • Click on Create

You can get the rancher project internal ID this way :

  • Access the cluster from the home page
  • Click on Projects/Namespaces
  • Click on the threes dots on the right of a given, then Edit YAML
  • The internal Id will be in the metadata.name field

Exemple : name: p-2z44v

Add a namespace to a project​

Add an existing Namespace​

  • Access the cluster from the home page
  • Click on Projects/Namespaces
  • Click on the threes dots on the right of a given Namespace
  • Click on the Move option and select the project in which you want to move the namespace

Create a new Namespace in the project​

  • Access the cluster from the home page
  • Click on Projects/Namespaces
  • Click on the Create Namespace button to the right of your project
  • Configure your new Namespace and click on the Create button
